How long will my ipod last playing movies?
I've put a few movies on my ipod nano 4th gen. to watch on the flight from Manila, Philippines to Kansas City, Missouri, but I'm worried about the battery. If I turn brightness all the way down, about how long will the battery last? Also, is there anything else I can do to save battery life? Phantom, thanks for the idea, but planes don't have electric outlets, do they?

About 6-8 hours. Turn the brightness down, turn off the EQ, don't listen to music. For about $20 you can get a USB power adapter that goes into wall sockets. Use that on the airplane to charge it.

See this website. It has an article about how to saving battery time, like making sure to put it on "hold" and talks about not letting it sleep. http://www.zofunk.com/iPod_save_battery_life.asp This article says this: "The iPod's internet connection makes it a helpful item to have for long trips. However, because of electronic interference, many commercial flights require that the iPod not be in broadcast mode while you are on a plane. So that you can still play games, music and downloaded apps while airborne, the iPod has an airplane mode. This allows you to use your phone while disconnected from the internet. While the iPod is in airplane mode, it will also use less battery life because it is not connected to the internet or searching for a connection." A stewardess may be able to help out, if you have your charger with you... http://traveltips.usatoday.com/charge-ipod-airplane-11028.html
