Continental airlines should I trust them with checked baggage?
So I'm going on a short vacation from kansas city to san diego. I'm trying to figure out if I should check in my luggage or get a small enough suitcase to carry on. The flight has 1 plane change and that's what I'm scared of. My dad says that airlines tend to mess up at plane changes and my luggage goes somewhere it's not supposed to. What's the likelihood of my luggage getting lost? Should I trust the airlines and check my bags in? Please and Thank You for your answers

I flew recently with them from the UK via LA TO PDX and had no problem, so go for it

The myth of lost luggage is just that..a myth. Yes, it can happen, but you are more likely to leave your hair drier at home than have your luggage lost. I fly more than 150,000 a year and I am on an airplane at least four times a month. I generally check my baggage, especially if I have a change of planes. It is much easier. Check your bags and don't worry...have a great time.
