Am trying to surprise my love in Kansas City for the long weekend, but am a little low on funds. Can anyone suggest cheap ways to get there? walking is free, but it could take quite a while depending on where your at now, and without knowing that, its kinda hard to tell you what is going to be your best bet. Personally I would go greyhound. it was $70 to bus my brother (active duty army) from Ft. Carson to Cincinnati and it would have cost almost $200 to fly. Check the schedules online, you should be able to get one for less than $50 round trip, even if your traveling from either coast.

Greyhound is pretty cheap. If you had planned this way in advance I'd say get plane tickets, but I think it'd be expensive to do it now. Also, consider going by train. I don't know if that's cheaper or not but you might look into it. Can you get someone to drive you there? Anyone owe you a favor? Borrow money? Good luck!

try southwest airlines.. they are always having good deals.. i also agree on trying greyhound...
