How to change a Flight?
I have a flight from Newcastle (England) to Kansas City (3 connections) that was cancelled due to the volcanic ash situation. I am booked through Expedia. I'm wondering how to go about seeing how I can change/re-book this flight as early as possible. I'm 6 months pregnant and have two doctor's appointments in Kansas City next week that I am trying hard not to miss. Would I call Expedia or call the airline? Thanks for your help!

I would start with Expedia. From their web site: = = = = = = How do I change a flight reservation? If you need to change your flight arrangements, call Expedia at 1-800-EXPEDIA (1-800-397-3342), or 1-404-728-8787. Expedia Customer Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If your travel plans change and you need a different flight, Expedia Customer Support can change your flight times, dates, and/or destination. Note that most airlines do not allow changes to traveler names on a ticket. Typical fees Most fares have an airline-imposed fee per passenger for changes and cancellations ($150 for domestic tickets, $200 for international tickets, plus the difference in fare). Expedia does not charge any fee for changes and cancellations. We will provide a comprehensive summary of all charges before you change or cancel your flight. = = = = = = The Expedia.co.uk site also lists this phone number - 0871 226 0808. Don't know if it makes a difference which one you call, or which website you used to make the original reservation. It may also be helpful that they provide a list of airline toll free numbers here: http://support.expedia.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2909/sno/0 I wish you the best of luck with making new arrangements. I fear that it will be an awful mess for everyone for quite some time. You may want to call your doctor's office and tell them about the situation, because it is possible that you won't make those appointments.
